More than any thing else when I grow up I want to be a pediatrician. My goal began when I was just five years old. My doctor always kept me healthy and I wanted to follow in her footsteps. I started acting like I was a successful surgeon with my stuffed animals. I always watched every detail my doctor constructed.
When I was eight I talked to my doctor about being a pediatrician. She said I have to go to college for four years then go to medical school for four years then work in a hospital. I started working as hard as I possibly in school.
At age eleven I began looking at good medical schools but they were all very expensive. Since going on to be a pediatrician was my only goal I vegan saving all my money. Everyone was so surprised at how hard working and determined I had become.
As I went into high school I took as math and science classes as I possibly could. I went through my four years in college with great ease and graduated with my class. I was extremely knowledgeable and got accepted to every college I applied to. My choice was Stanford University in California. That college was amazing. All the classes led me to do great things. My favorite professor was my chemistry professor. I graduated from Stanford and went on to
Harvard Medical School. I learned the skills I needed to be a successful doctor. My experience there was by far more than I expected. I learned how to tell different sicknesses apart and I was able to learn stuff that surgeons do. My teachers were very impressed by how skilled I was. I stayed in medical school for an extra year so I was even more prepared.
I graduated medical school when I was thirty one year old after I had worked in the hospital for another four years. I tried so hard to get a job at a huge hospital but failed. After that I sat curled up in my room bawling at the fact that no one wanted me. Finally one day I got a call from a pediatrician office in Arvada, Colorado. I went there for an interview but there were twenty doctors ahead of me. Butterflies filled my stomach. I felt as though my stomach was on a steep rollercoaster. It was twisting and as I moved up the line towards the interview room. I went to get interviewed and almost fainted because I was so nervous.
When I went home that night and kept waiting and waiting for the phone to ring. I went to sleep and finally the next morning I got the call. I was accepted! I worked there until I retired at get sixty-seven.
